When I Grow Up I Want To Be…

Hello!

When I grow up I want to be a zoologist or marine biologist and be an actor and an author. First I love acting and I ´ m doing drama lesions and I have a big passion for witting.

Anyways back to a zoologist or marine biologist lets look into being a zoologist first. I have always loved animals It has been my passion since I can remember like 4 years old. When I was younger I really wanted to be a vet but I couldn’t handle having to put down animals. So I want to help them and discover new ways to protect animals.

Now a marine biologist I love going to the beach and swimming, in the sea and there is just something about sea animals that I love. I mean half of my Christmas  presence was to do with the beach. Also if I were to be a marine biologist half of my work would be at the beach or dealing with sea animals.

But if i was a zoologist I could be at the safari learning about lions so I don’t know what I want to do more yet.

Tulip and Daisy Space Trip

This week for writing, we were able to make our own sort story. My one is called, Tulip and Daisy Space Trip. We had some rules to follow though. The rules were,: there had to be a problem, and a big plot twist that no one saw coming.

here is my story:

I sooted up and hooped in my rocket ship 5 4 3 2 1… VOOM! I was off oh hi i’m Daisy, Daisy Maple Mars and i’m heading to Saturn to get rocks. Oh look there Jupiter the that was fast, and there it is the beloved Saturn look at the rings dancing and prancing swoosh. I am only supposed to be here for 1 day so I better be fast! I hopped off with my little bag ¨ I’m going to get rocks¨ I sang. ¨Zella zorp.¨ Uh what was that! ¨BOOOO¨¨ AHHHHHH¨ I screamed holding my eyes shut well running in my ship bang ¨NO¨ my ship was broken. 

 

Well I think that was my least concern because there was an alien with a star shaped head like a star that grows limbs and with 3 eyes ¨hello¨ she said. ¨ H-hi ¨ I said nervously. ¨ My ship is broken and I have no tools ¨ I busted out into tears. ¨It’s ok my name is Tulip and I can help you, You do what you were doing well I fix your ship!¨ ¨thank you my name is Daisy. WAIT! Can you show me where to find rocks?¨ ¨Sure, there are some over there, I will go get the tools. I’m going to get rocks with an alien friend!?

 

 I skipped along collecting rocks one by one. Once I had finished, Tulip was back! We tried to fix my ship but nothing was working! Not even this thing called qubles Tulip said they fix everything! After it felt like 2 hours it ¨clicked¨ ¨YAY¨ we both squealed excitedly ¨thank you, I have to go now I will be back soon¨ 5,4,3,2,1. ¨Daisy dinners ready¨ ¨5 more minutes!¨ ¨No, come now!¨ I hoped out of my spaced themed room to see my favorite food for dinner, but I knew that tulip (my imaginary friend,) would be waiting for me on Saturn!

Boot Camp!

This week some of us had to do boot camp! I loved it but also hated it at the same time. This week we were doing tests, we had to see how long we could hold a plank! I held mine for 1:36, and how long our standing jump was, my one was 188 cm long. After we did some training, this was my least favorite part. We had to lay down stand back up, run 1 meter to a cone lay back down, get back up and repeat 5 times I think.

Super Smart Science Roadshow

Yesterday we had a visit from the Science Roadshow. The focus of the session was Sound Waves. 

Some of the main messages about Sound Waves were how they work and if you a car goes past you the sound is pitch and when the car is a long away from you the sound is quieter and sound waves can go up and down . 

Something I enjoyed the most was the spinning chair because you had some weights and when you put the weights closter the chair goes faster and when you put the weights far away the chair goes slower.  

My favourite part of the Science Roadshow was when we got to see sound waves but in fire because watching the flame were super cool.

Something I will take away from this visit was that chux is worse granule because granule suck out all of the water.

Super Swimming Lessons

We have just finished two weeks of swimming lessons at Graham Condon.

 

The thing that I enjoyed the most this week was helping my little buddy. I also like the life jackets because I love helping my buddy and the life jackets were super fun because I like going under the boat and jumping in the water.  

 

This week, we did a lot of water safety skills. Something that I have learnt is sculling and this is important because if you are in a crashing river sculling is one of the safe things to do.  

 

Something that I want to learn next time I have swimming lessons at school is how to do breaststroke because I think it would be fun to learn something new.

Tremendous Tumu Camp

February 13 2023. I was so nervous and excited at first I felt so scared and then I hopped on to the bus and all my nervousness was gone. I was so excited but then I got car sick! Ella lent me her pillow. It made me feel better. Finally we were there after the long walk in the scorching hot sun. We got to play in the playground after that we got our luggage and we could go to the bunk rooms.

All of my friends sprinted off to Room 3 aka the coolest bunk room almost all my friends were in the same room. All I could hear was that’s mine, I want that one! I dips that one! In the end we sorted it all out. On the first night everyone was talking and I think I was the only one trying to get some sleep. In the end we all got at least 4 hours of sleep and it felt like the best 4 hours of sleep. In the morning breakfast was so yummy probably the best breakfast in the world.

I did not like any of the dinners but I love breakfast, lunch and dessert. On the first night for dessert it was so yummy it was ice cream and hot brownies. On the 2nd night for dessert, we had apple crumble and ice cream.

The first activity was Aero Jump if you do not know what that is, it is a trampoline. You strap in a harness that gives you a wedgie, you go up so high. Next we did a zip line, which is like 10 feet in the air but it feels like you are flying. Afterwards we did Field and Court games. 9 squares in the air is my favourite game of all time. My favourite sport was multi sport. The next day my group went to go karts. It was amazingly fun. I loved it! The climbing wall was ok, it was not the best but not the worst. The water slide was super fun. I love it so much it was at least 5 feet in the air and it went so fast.
